  Dissertation/Thesis Advice

Whether you need help with sorting through ideas, analyzing data, or writing the dissertation/thesis, this page provides resources you may need.

The links to the right lead to websites that provide guidelines/advice for students writing disserations or theses. There are also links to websites that have guidelines for different citation styles and generation citations based on user input.

For quick help finding just the right word when writing, there is a link to the Merriam-Webster website.  And when conducting a literature review, check out Scholar.Google, which provides free access to articles available on-line.

The "Some useful books" list at the bottom of this page includes books that provide help with writing dissertations and theses.

Ideally, it would be nice to have a separate page here that can have dissertations and theses posted so that students can see examples of these works.  This could serve as a valuable resource for other students.  If you would like to submit your dissertation or thesis, please email SB (at) socialworkstudentcenter.com for more information.
