This site was created for current social work students as well as recent graduates. Resources Have a question about this site? Please email: SB (at) socialworkstudentcenter.com
There are many resources on the internet, such as fellowships specific to social work, examples of resumes/CVs, and job listings, but sometimes it may take a long time to find what you need. This website is a compilation of those resources so you can use it as an on-line center or first-stop website in your search efforts.
Using the tabs to the left, you will be able to access a number of pages that provide resources for students and recent graduates.
On the Dissertation/Thesis page, you will find links to "how-to guides," recommended books to help with writing, and other similar resources. The Funding page contains resources for locating fellowships and grants related to social work education and research. On the Employment page, you will find links to all the major websites that list jobs for social workers and social work researchers/academics. The page also has links to "how-to" type websites (e.g., how to interview for a job), resources for those seeking a LCSW, and samples of cover letters, resumes, and curriculum vitae (all specific to social work, of course). And lastly, on the Teaching page, you will find resources to assist in teaching (as a teaching assistant, lecturer, or professor).
The following "Quick Links" are placed here on the first page for your convenience: National Association of Social Workers, Council on Social Work Education, Society for Social Work and Research, and New Social Worker Online. For more detailed information and links, use the links to the left to navigate.
